Community Outreach
The Hebrew word tiqvah not only means cord or rope, but also hope, or expectation.
“For you have been my hope (tiqvah), Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth.” (Psalm 71:5)
In Joshua 2, Rahab hides the spies from the king of Jericho, helping them escape from the king’s soldiers by hanging a rope down through the window.
The heart of this ministry is extending a helping hand to those who need it. Whether it be a gift, financial assistance, prayer or encouragement, LifeConnect.Church will remind people that they are loved, and provide a means for people to see the hope and freedom they can experience in Christ.
Rope of Hope
In Luke 10:25-37, we learn the parable of the Good Samaritan. When neither the priest nor the Levite gave help to the man was left beaten half to death and robbed, the Samaritan stopped to aid him. He took pity on him, bandaged his wounds, poured oil and wine and sent him to an inn, took care of him and paid for his expenses until he was fully healed.
“36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ (Matthew 25:36-40)
The main goal of this ministry is to aid broken individuals, helping them restore themselves mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Life.Connect.Church will be partnering with specialised Christian agencies to support individuals going through rehab and therapy. After being supported with their journey through the appropriate agencies, individuals will then be discipled in Christ by our church leaders.
