Our Culture

  • Missional

A missional culture doesn’t refer to any specific activity, but rather a posture of our heart that reflects the character of God. God is missional in His very being; He has a heart for the lost (Luke 15), has called people to Himself from every nation, tribe, people and language (Rev 7:9), and sent His only Son into the world that the world might be saved through Him (John 3:17). As followers of Christ, our hearts should mirror His, having a missional outlook towards everything we do. He has commissioned us to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). Go, Give and Pray are the guiding principles by which we will carry out this commission.

  • Relational

We take each soul seriously. Just as Heaven rejoices over each one who turns to Christ, so do we (Luke 15:7,10). The triune God - Father, Son and Spirit - is Himself in perfect relationship, and has invited us into everlasting relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. Relationships are one of the few aspects of the Church that will remain throughout eternity, and we value them accordingly.

  • Christ-Like

We are Christ-centred in our being and our doing. Jesus is the cornerstone of the church (Eph 2:20), the visible image of the invisible God (Col 1:15) and the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). He is the One that God the Father is changing us to resemble (Rom 8:29). Our lives are changed from glory to glory when we abide in Christ and in His Word through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. (2 Cor 3:18; John 15:4,7, 1 Thess 1:5). We believe that we can only give what we do possess; we must “be” before we can “do”. It is only when we are in true, rich, whole-hearted relationship with Jesus Christ that we can be salt and light

  • Intentional

We are whole-heartedly focused on making disciples and engaging our community through charitable and socially responsible initiatives. We are deliberate in being His ‘mouthpiece’ as we proclaim His Word and purposeful in being His ‘hands and feet’ as we serve.

  • Cheerful

We are cheerful in giving and serving (2 Cor 9:7). The joy of our salvation and God’s goodness leads us to be generous in advancing the gospel and in serving wholeheartedly. We consider it the highest honour and utmost privilege to be used by God for His glory.

  • Prayerful

Praying is a vital component of the church and essential in the life of every believer (2 Thess 2:16). Prayer is the backbone of our ministry. We pray in every way, in every need and in every situation (Eph 6:18) individually and corporately. We are committed to interceding for the church, for nations, for communities, and for others.
