Statement of Faith
God
We believe in one God, creator of heaven and earth, who possess all power, all knowledge, is ever-present and worthy of all praise, glory and honour. We believe God is eternally existent in three persons in perfect unity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - each fully and completely God and possessing all the attributes of God.
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, of the same essence as the Father. We believe in His manifestation in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His personal return in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in God the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, and by whom each believer is gifted to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Scripture
We believe the Bible to be the written revelation of God, “breathed out” by Him and recorded by human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the scriptures as originally given by God are incapable of error, entirely trustworthy, wholly sufficient and are the supreme authority in all matters of faith and godly living.
Man
We believe that man is created in the image of God. Man wilfully rebelled against his creator, resulting in a separation between sinful man and a holy God and leaving man spiritually dead.
Salvation
We believe in the salvation of lost and sinful man through the vicarious and atoning death of the Lord Jesus Christ on a Roman cross. We believe that we are justified and declared righteous by God through faith in Jesus Christ, and that faith is a gift of God given to us by His grace alone, independent of any good works. We believe that faith and on-going regeneration by the Holy Spirit in the life of every true believer will result in the production of fruit - good works in keeping with repentance.
The Church
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has established His Church on the earth, composed of all who turn to Him in true faith and repentance. We believe that local church fellowships are the primary means by which the Church is designed to function as Christ’s hands and feet on the earth, and that every believer should be involved in such a fellowship.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the bodily, visible return of Jesus Christ in power and glory to judge both the living and the dead, and in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
